Quarry Arts Centre
The Quarry Arts Centre in Whangārei is New Zealand’s longest running arts centre. Founded in 1982 by artist Yvonne Rust, the Quarry Arts Centre has been home to many of Northland’s fi nest artists, potters, and craftspeople.
Quarry Arts is an eclectic arts centre with a bohemian feel, located in a scenic spot just off State Highway 1. Quarry Arts features galleries, ceramics and art supplies, kilns, art workshops and artist studios.
There is a beautiful waterfall and many sculptures and artworks on display. We are also home to the Te Kowhai Print Trust, fine crafts co-op shop and the Quarry Café.
A walk-through Quarry Arts opens a true window onto Northland’s creative spirit. Visit today and see one of New Zealand’s most enduring art treasures with historic links to new Hundertwasser Art Centre.
