farrago – graduate exhibition from NorthTec’s Bachelor of Applied Arts

farrago is an exhibition of the multimedia artwork for NorthTec’s Bachelor of Applied Arts graduates of 2017,exhibiting in the Geoff Wilson Gallery from 24th November – 8th December.

The work exhibited is a culmination of hard work and intensive refinement by the 10 graduating students, whose work derives from a multitude of influences, ideas and cultural backgrounds. farrago is a celebration of the varied talents of the students and their exceptional achievements. The artworks include; digital media and animation, cyanotype and experimental photography, paint, illustration and print. In its definition, the name farragodescribes the juxtaposition of this year’s graduating artists on display, and the diverse range of individual their projects.

The graduating students of 2017 are Isaac Bryce, Jamaica Tata, Jacinta Hailes, Ya Qian Shao, Hayley Milton, Chen Zhichun, Tina McKinnon, Lydia Anderson, Jackson Ansted and Catherine Peng(Jiaxin) It is with great pride that they warmly invite you to their graduation show, farrago –(a confused mixture), showcasing what is capable when local passion is nurtured and refined.

Please join the artists at the opening of their exhibition from 4:30 – 6:30 pm on Thursday the 23rd of November, at the Geoff Wilson Gallery, Toi Te Pito Arts precinct, NorthTec’s Whangarei Campus, Gate 3, Raumanga Valley Road. Outside of opening night The Geoff Wilson Gallery will be open 10am – 5pm, Monday – Friday.
