The Shutter Room will be hosting PHOTON: art school and beyond opening Wednesday 22 November from 5-7pm and showcases 20 artists that have either studied or teach on NorthTec’s photography programme. It that looks at ‘what came next’ for these artists, and how their art education prepared them for the rich tapestry of life beyond art school – working lives interwoven with research, travel, exhibitions, residencies, community projects and much more. This exhibition highlights a diverse range of photographic approaches, from alternative silver-based processes to contemporary commercial work, and fully manipulated digital imagery.
