Creative Communities Scheme Assessor

Join the Creative Communities Scheme funding assessment committee

Love the arts? The Whangarei District is looking for people to help assess for Creative Communities Scheme funding.
They’re particularly interested in hearing from representatives of the youth (16-20 years), disability and migrant communities.

There are two funding rounds per year when you’ll be involved, and each will require 5-10 hours of your time. It is interesting work and you’ll be well supported.

To apply, complete a nomination form and send it to us by the closing date of 1 August 2018.

More about the Creative Communities Scheme (CCS)

The Scheme helps to fund local arts projects. Each year Creative New Zealand provides CCS funding to councils to distribute in their areas. The CCS for Whangarei District is administered by Whangarei District Council.

The allocation of CCS grants in Whangarei District is undertaken by an independent committee comprising of Council and community representatives.

The CCS supports and encourages local communities to create and present diverse opportunities for accessing and participating in arts activities within their specific geographical area, as well as for defined communities of interest.

Under the scheme, “the arts” is defined as “all forms of creative and interpretative expression”
