Creative Northland is excited to offer FREE youth workshops as a part of the NYSAF Digital Workshop Series, thanks to funding from the Northland Youth Arts and Capability Fund (funded by Creative New Zealand & the Ministry of Youth Development).
Creative Northland will deliver a series of ‘Interart’ facilitated workshops to the Far North and Kaipara districts, engaging youth in the process of capturing their stories in achieving their wellbeing, following on from the NYSAF2019.
There will be 6 workshops from November 2019 to March 2020 whereby they will gain knowledge particularly in visual communications, design, technology and allowing their minds to be free and creative.
Youth participants will gain real, relevant and practical skills such as collaborating, sharing ideas and problem-solving. The youth will be exposed to new networks, technology, and ideas with many realizing a passion for technology. Skilled practitioners leading the workshops will be the role models for a few youths, in particular, those who will be interested in pursuing design at a University.

The stories are produced into an app and made available on Apple and Google
